AirSens®

Indoor Air Quality Sensors Designed By Ventilation Experts

The AirSens® range are the first IAQ sensors designed and produced by ventilation experts. The perfect solution for Demand Control Ventilation systems.

Available in 3 different versions:

AirSens® CO2 – Monitors CO2 levels and can be wired to adjust a ventilation system’s airflow rate to reduce these levels. The CO2 set-point at which the sensor operates to alter the ventilation can be set between 450ppm to 2000ppm. Recommended for homes and workplaces with variable occupancy levels during the day

AirSens® VOC – Monitors VOC levels and can be wired to adjust a ventilation system’s airflow rate to reduce these levels. The VOC set-point at which the sensor operates to alter the ventilation can be set between 450ppm to 2000ppm.Reacts to sporadic changes in the accumulation of substance-derived odours: Volatile Organic Compounds, such as alcohols, aldehydes, ketones and organic acids.

AirSens® RH – Monitors Relative Humidity levels and can be wired to adjust a ventilation system’s airflow rate to reduce these levels. The RH set-point at which the sensor operates to alter the ventilation can be set between 60% to 100%. Recommended for homes where relative humidity may vary or be particularly excessive

About

How the AirSens® Works

The sensors work by monitoring the ambient indoor air quality of the area. Once it detects a spike in one of the parameters (CO2, VOC or RH) it sends a message to the ventilation system to increase the airflow rate until the level has returned to the ambient level.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

We spend the majority of our time indoors so it is important that the air inside is clean, fresh and pollutant-free. By introducing energy saving measures to improve thermal comfort, we have sealed up our homes and workplaces, restricting the flow of air, which can lead to stale, humid environments filled with a host of contaminants. For this reason, ventilation has a fundamental role in improving indoor air quality. A good IAQ level improves productivity, health, well-being and comfort for its occupants.

Patented Design

The AirSens® Range offers a patented and minimalistic design allowing it to easily blend into different environments.

Changing LED

The front LED indicator tells you the IAQ level of the air at any time:
Green = Good, Orange = Medium, Red = Poor

3 Modes of Operation

0-10V or 2-10V output. This this can utilised to gradually adjust the speed of a suitable ventilation system according to demand. Systems such as the energiSava 300/400 or inline ECOwatt fans can be controlled in this manner.

Relay contact: This can be wired to either to a ventilation system on (such as a fan from the EnviroVent Silent Range or a plate mounted axial fan) or to trigger a system to go from a low speed to a high speed (such as the energiSava 200/250 or the Silent MV multispeed inline fans.
