Positive Input Ventilation or PIV Systems work by drawing fresh filtered air from outside to inside through a unit that is usually installed in a loft. Positive Input Ventilation Systems reduce surface condensation by displacing humid stagnant air with fresh filtered air throughout your whole home.
PIV systems work by using air from outside to slightly increase internal air pressure, which in turn gently forces the stale air out.
PIV systems are recommended when:
✔ You don't want to do a full renovation.
✔ You require a whole house ventilation solution.
✔ You don't want to remove any walls or go back to brickwork.
Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) systems create healthy living environments by supplying filtered air into a property at a continuous rate throughout a property and are our most popular method of whole house ventilation.
These can be either installed in a loft space or on a wall in a flat or apartment. They ensure that a continuous supply of air is supplied into the home to significantly reduce condensation.

Extractor fans are designed to extract stale, polluted, or damp air out of individual wet rooms, such as kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, and utility rooms. They reduce humidity levels and prevent condensation.
Without extractor fans, moisture levels in bathrooms and kitchens can build up and cause condensation which can lead to damp and the growth of black mould. The moist, damp air in the wet rooms can also migrate around the rest of the property, causing issues in other rooms.
Extractor fans are required:
✔ To reduce humidity levels in bathrooms, kitchens, and other wet rooms
✔ To prevent the spread of water vapour and food smells from one room to another.
✔ To Maintain good air quality throughout your home.
Most homes will already have extractor fans installed, but over time, if the fans are not cleaned regularly, performance can degrade, and condensation can become a problem. Replacing older, inefficient extractor fans with new models will improve ventilation.

The extract fans from the SILENT range are the result of a long and meticulous development process by the Research, Development & Innovation Department at EnviroVent, who have patented a new concept; bringing about a revolutionary change in extract fan design to extract the maximum airflow with the minimum noise possible.

The systems work by extracting stale, moisture-laden air from the wet rooms such as bathrooms, WC’s, kitchen and shower rooms, which passes over a high efficiency heat exchange cell before reaching atmosphere. Simultaneously, fresh air is drawn into the unit from outside, and is warmed by the heat exchange cell before being delivered through supply vents into the living, dining and bedroom areas.

The centralised MEV systems are typically located in a loft space or hallway cupboard. Multiple ducts run from the unit to the kitchen, bathroom, en-suites and other wet rooms of a property to simultaneously draw moisture laden air from these wet rooms to control humidity levels. Decentralised MEV (dMEV) are individual room fans which operate continuously to draw moisture from either the bathroom, kitchen, utility room or other wet room.
